Three Card Poker

The game of Three Card Poker is played with three cards per hand. Players have the choice of either playing against the dealer or against a payout schedule for certain hands. Cards are obtained from the standard 52 card deck and is played on a table akin to blackjack. Three Card Poker is essentially two games in one. The two games are Pair Plus and Ante and Play.

The gambler is allowed to wager on either one or both with various amounts. To start the game, all players must first place their ante bets. They, along with the dealer, then receive their three cards face down. As for the players’ betting options, they are the Pair Plus bets and Ante and Play.

Pair Plus

Of the two best top rated online casino games available, Pair Plus is quite straightforward. In this game, you are playing against the payout schedule and not against other players or even the dealer. The payout is determined by the ranking of the 3 card hand. If you have less than a pair, you lose your Pair Plus bet. As noted in the compensation schedule, the more elevated the ranking, the higher the payout:

A Straight flush: pays 40 to 1
Three of a kind: pays 30 to 1
A Straight: pays 6 to 1
A flush: pays 4 to 1
A pair: pays 1 to 1

To win, the minimum requirement is a pair. The highest payout is the straight flush.

Ante and Play

In this version, the players compete against the dealer’s hand. After the ante is made and the player has evaluated his three cards, he must decide whether to fold or to raise. If the player decides to fold, his ante is lost. If the same player has a bet on the Pair Plus, that is also surrendered. If the player decides to continue playing, he commits to a raise. This is where a play bet of equal money to the ante is made.

After all the players made their decisions, the dealer reveals his cards. In order to qualify and challenge the players’ hands, the hand of the dealer must hold at least a Queen or better. If the dealer fails to qualify, he folds. The ante bets are compensated at 1:1 regardless of ranking. The play bet is given back to the players.

In the situation where the dealer’s hand meet the requirements, the cards of the players are revealed and evaluated against the dealer’s. When the dealer’s hand is superior to that of the player’s, the bettor loses both the ante and the play bet. If the hand of the player is stronger than the dealer, the dealer compensates the player 1:1 for both bets. On a first-rate hand, the player could win a bonus payment on the 'ante' bet as follows:

For a straight flush, at 5 to 1
For three of a kind, at 4 to 1
For a straight, the bonus is paid at 1 to 1

These best online casino bonuses are granted despite the dealer's hand status, whether superior or inferior to the player's.
